Visiting Mississippi

...I still like spelling Mississippi! Here are a few pictures of our trip.

Our first plane ride! We were so excited, even getting up at 5AM! Paisley slept in her seat like this for 3 hours. She was obviously so tired to be able to sleep in such a lovely position.

Playing in the mirror at the hotel! So cute! We were very glad to be back with our dad (don't tell him, but we are mama's boy!).

Our trip started out crazy with Bryce's brother rolling his truck the night before we left, changed flight plans for Grandpa, and very little sleep but we made time to picnic at Noxubee one afternoon. We are so sad to leave such beauty behind but are grateful for all the fun memories on the refuge (and the not so fun...wasp nests, horse flies, mosquitoes, etc)! If you look close in the first picture there is a huge gator and in the second the lilipads are blooming. The girls were fascinated by the furry caterpillar! Who could blame them, so was I!

When we picked Grandpa up from the airport in Memphis we had lunch on Beale Street, which considered the birthplace of the Blues. We had heart attack on a plate at the Blues City Cafe! You really can't beat southern bbq and slaw.
